How do I read an Actionfigure Screen?

Here's an example of a block on an Actionfigure Screen:

Screen Shot 2022-01-19 at 3.04.10 PM.png

In this example, the dark blue icon at the top right indicates that this is a rail line, and the agency icon to its left indicates that this is run by WMATA.

The Farragut West header is the name of the station, and it is a 7-minute walk from the screen's location.

The BL indicates the route number or name of the rail. In this example, it is the Blue Line. Depending on the transit agency, this may consist of just numbers, just letters, or a combination of the two.

For the Blue Line going to Franconia-Springfield, the numbers on the right indicate the departure times of the next two trains — one will leave in 6 minutes, and another will leave in 30. Depending on the data available, there may only be one displaying at a time.

The small, signal icon next to the arrival time indicates that these are real-time predictions.

Why are there no current departures on my screen?

Depending on the time of day, some routes may not be running, and therefore will not be showing on your screen. An easy way to check this is to go directly to the transit agency's website and look at its schedule.

If there are missing routes that you believe should be displaying on your screen, please let us know by emailing [email protected] so we can help!
